Ingredients

  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 can crescent roll dough 8 count, or 1 sheet
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • Ketchup, mustard, or sriracha for eyes

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. If you like, line your baking pan with parchment or foil for easy cleanup.
  • Unroll crescent roll dough onto a cutting board. Gently press the seams together to seal. Cut into at least 16 thin strips. Cut cheese slices into 4 strips each.
  • Place 1 strip of cheese alongside 1 hot dog. Wrap 1 strip of dough around the hot dog and cheese, gently stretching to wrap more. Add another strip of dough, wrapping in the opposite direction. Place on baking sheet.
  • Repeat until all of the hot dogs and dough is used, adding extra dough strips to the dogs as needed. Make sure there is a little unwrapped hot dog near one end if you plan to add eyes.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 13-15 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Cool briefly, then dot on eyes using ketchup, mustard, or sriracha. Serve with additional sauce for dipping.
