Baked goat cheese couldn’t be an easier appetizer! Creamy goat cheese is warmed with your favorite marinara sauce and served with crackers for a party favorite dish.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces chevre goat cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons sliced fresh basil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly coat a small casserole dish with nonstick spray.
  • Unwrap the goat cheese and place it in the center of the dish.
  • Pour the marinara sauce evenly around the cheese. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until warmed through and soft. It will not look melty.
  • Sprinkle on basil and serve.

Notes

If you like, slice the goat cheese into rounds before placing into the dish.
